Going Left

In May 2013, my mom was diagnosed with cancer that spread from her colon, to her liver, and lungs. After a year and a half of chemotherapy and clinical trials, the doctors told her there was no more treatment that could help her. Back in Austin, Texas, we decided that we wanted to make the best of what we have. When things aren't going right, we want to keep moving, so we go left...
